OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE #2

"You are out of your league," George 2 remarked,

But Jeff Rense answered, "No, ma'am, I am not."

In Deutschland, David Rockefeller barked,

"Victory is achieved – although we’ve got

Some renegades who fight against our greed

And countries left to plunder for their oil –

We need excuses to attack Iran

And Russia must be kept in line with need;

The Carlyle Group must take its share of spoils . . . "

Americans have short attention spans.

So as the home run records stood or fell,

Sexy celebrities filled movie screens;

Content Americans could never tell

Reality from fiction, and between

Each inning, oligarchs would pilfer gold

To keep the banks and bourgeoisie controlled.

SHE RUNS LIKE A RABBIT THROUGH THE SAGE (PARADELLE)

She runs like a rabbit through the sage,

She runs like a rabbit through the sage

Where winds drive sand and dirt down paths,

Where winds drive sand and dirt down paths

Through sage the rabbit runs the paths

Down paths she runs like winds.

He waits at the crossroads like a wolf

He waits at the crossroads like a wolf

Who hungers for meals with warm blood-meat

Who hungers for meals with warm blood-meat

For warm blood-meat like a wolf he waits

At crossroads he hungers and waits and waits.

When jaws snap shut, her tail in his mouth

When jaws snap shut, her tail in his mouth

He leaps, she jumps, the chase begins

He leaps, she jumps, the chase begins

Her tail, the jaws, snap, leaps, jumps, shut

His mouth, her tail begins the chase.

Rabbit tail runs like winds down paths

Her warm blood-meat begins the chase

Wolf waits and when he leaps and jumps

At crossroads where he waits in hunger

His mouth snaps shut when he leaps sage

Jaws drive through sand and dirt, his meals.

SUNDAY SLEDDING

My son in my lap

The yellow dish slides down the slope

With shouts and laughter.

THE LAND OF NEVER

Have you ever been so clever

You visited the Land of Never?

"Never will I eat the foods that make me fat,

Never will I say those awful words

Like Heckedy Schmekedy drat,"

Or in a moment of practiced pique

When your bottom's fallen in the creek:

"Never ever will I do that again,

No horse could drag me through that glen,"

Or when your friend and you

have a falling out,

A spat where you cross your arms and shout,

"That's it, never will I be your friend!

Never! Never! Never! The End!" . . .

But

it's not the end,

now is it?

You'll eat the pie despite the pounds and zits,

You'll say some awful things

Because they have a righteous ring,

You'll take that trip to somewhere far away,

Smiling as you wipe off spray,

You'll call your friends

And make amends,

You'll say, "Did I say 'Never'"?

For me that's far too clever.

Let's take a walk

Around the block,

Pluck a dandelion on the fly,

Pick out Orion in the sky.

Whatever we may endeavor

Let's steer clear

Of the Land of Never."
